Kintla Lake, Glacier National Park, Montana.
The United States/Canada border was drawn across several of the peaks in the background of these Kintla Lake images.
Glacier National Park, Montana, is a spectacular National Park. I personally love the topography so much because it reminds me of home, Yosemite National Park, California. Steep granite cliffs, graceful waterfalls, glacial lakes, grand forests, and remote access. Polebridge is my location of choice to stay while visiting.
Threats to deer and wildlife in Montana are described in this December 2015 article by the Billings Gazette: http://billingsgazette.com/lifestyles/recreation/climate-change-effects-revealed-in-montana/article_9c8ff925-400e-51e4-8fdb-bedcc8210c5c.html. And, of course, the glaciers in Glacier National Park are disappearing and will be completely gone in just a few decades.
